Realtor Lloyd Smith

For Lloyd Smith, finding himself in a real estate career today is no surprise at all. From the time he was a teenager, real estate has fascinated him, and he knew it was something he wanted to be a part of… someday. After 26 years in the corporate world, Lloyd and his wife, Deana, decided to make the move to Colorado in 2009 where he became a licensed agent and started a new journey in real estate, a field that he always felt he would really love.
Lloyd’s prior career was in commercial construction, working with a prominent company as a design-build contractor for the exteriors of high-rise office buildings, universities, hospitals, etc. For 17 of those 26 years, he was a project manager and oversaw the design, production, and installation of several notable buildings, including the 27-story Cal EPA Headquarters in Sacramento, Disney Headquarters in Anaheim, 18-story Portland Federal Courthouse, and several of the Silicon Valley tech giants. Lloyd moved into sales for a few years and finally became Vice President over Project Management and Sales. His job required high-stake negotiating, contracts, scheduling, and organization, all of which helped him transition seamlessly into real estate.

Even today, Lloyd is able to bring the skills he developed throughout his past career into his present one to expertly benefit the clients he serves. With more than a decade of real estate business under his belt and multiple achievements and recognitions, (such as receiving the 2010 Rookie of the Year award in his first year, being ranked #1 on Google in the “Best Real Estate Agents in Fort Collins” search, and #1 on Zillow’s agent finder list for Fort Collins) he can truly say he is where he is supposed to be.

With over 155 Five Star Reviews on Zillow from past clients, Lloyd takes pride in providing “over the top” service, attention to detail and results. He offers guidance and communication from start to finish, and is committed to negotiating hard for his clients. Lloyd works tirelessly to get the results they want and does so with integrity and professionalism. It is for that reason the vast majority of his business (over 90%) is from past clients and referrals from past clients.

Lloyd’s greatest satisfaction is helping his Buyers to get into their first home, their “dream home”, or that perfect investment property, and in surprising his Sellers by beating the average sales stats on the MLS by a huge margin (typically with multiple offers, well-over asking price in a very short time).

While Lloyd loves spending his time and energy getting his clients the best deal possible, he also loves adventuring in the great outdoors. Hiking, fishing and off-roading are among his favorites. Currently, he is working through summiting many of the 14ers – most of them alongside his daughter, Cherie – and has already summited 15 of them. Lloyd and his wife, Deana, also love Jeeping in Deana’s tricked out Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Hard Rock, and have hit several of the extreme trails around Colorado and Moab, Utah. Together, Lloyd and Deana have two sons and one daughter, all three of whom are grown, married, and starting their own families (making Lloyd a proud grandfather as of 2021). Lloyd’s faith is also very important to him. He enjoys being involved with and supporting the local church community he and his family became a part of years ago when they first came to Colorado.
