John changed from the hospitality industry to real estate in 2006 and quickly received the Loveland/Berthoud Board of Realtors’ “Rookie of the Year” award. In 2009 John was voted by the Northern Colorado Business Report as one of the top “40 Professionals Under 40.” In 2012, John was recognized for his service and production and was on the cover of the nationally recognized Top Agent Magazine. He has 18 years of experience in sales, marketing, and hospitality and has earned many more recognitions and awards. In addition John is frequently asked to speak to real estate companies around the United States.

 

John was born and raised in California, attended and graduated Dallas High School in Oregon, and studied Business Management in college. For 6 years John was stationed in 1st Ranger Battalion Hunter Army Airfield, which is located in Savannah, Georgia.  Sergeant Simmons served in multiple deployments, was squad leader for combat search and rescue, and represented the entire Ranger Regiment competing in Best Ranger Competition in 1996, 1997, and 1998. While in the military, John met his future wife Ana. John and Ana were married on June 30th, 1997. In July of 1999, Ana and John moved to Northern Colorado where they quickly fell in love with the people, lifestyle, and outdoor recreation. For 7 years John worked for Johnny Carinos Italian Restaurant. Because of his discipline, John was quickly promoted from Executive Chef, to General Manager, to Managing Partner, to Area Director, to Regional Training Director overseeing 35 restaurants in 4 states. On August 3rd, 2007, John and Ana welcomed their son, Evan.  John quoted, “Being a Father is a blessing and truly makes everything else seem insignificant.” John sets the example when it comes to balance and quality of life. He offers exceptional customer service while balancing priorities: Faith, Family, Friends, Fun (which to most is work), Finances and Fitness.

 

If you ask John, “Why Real Estate?” he will answer, “Because I love people and I enjoy being a part of their lives!  I LOVE what I do!”

 

Why start a new company? “This venture is only possible because of my real estate partner Jesse Laner who is taller than me, smarter than me, younger than me, and better looking than me.  In addition, we both love setting the standard and helping others.  I have a large extended family which I support. I was born to serve others; I led troops in the military, I led personnel in the restaurant industry, and now Jesse and I have the opportunity to lead and develop other successful real estate agents while serving our buyers and sellers.”

In my business I get to work with a lot of real estate agents. There are many outstanding agents in Colorado, but when it came time to sell our properties, we selected the agent who we knew to be among the best, if not the very best in the business – John Simmons with C3 Real Estate Solutions.

Funny enough, my relationship with John started out somewhat rocky. That’s when I was working personally as a contractor for him early in his real estate career. It might have been my Air Force background clashing with his Army past – a serious but friendly rivalry (go Air Force). In truth any trouble we had getting our personal and working relationship off the ground was simply due to John’s relentless pursuit of his client’s best interests, his drive to do the best he could do and be the best he could be coupled with my mistakes in trying to keep up with the demand of my own growing business! Even through our early missteps, John stuck with me. It was clear that I wanted that same tenacity and professionalism on my side when it came time to list our first property!

After having our condo listed with another agent for several months about a year before, we pulled it off the market. We relisted the home with John who patiently and confidently walked us through the process of selling our condo including recommending upgrades and fixes before putting it on the market. I really appreciated that John suggested a somewhat broad range in which to price the home but left us in the “driver’s seat” after taking the time to educate us on comps and the local real estate market. The condo sold within days of listing for full asking price.

We used John again to help sell my grandmother’s home. Again, John took the time to give my grandmother peace of mind and confidence in selling. My grandmother got a great price for her home and sold it very quickly.

Most recently we sold our home in Windsor. Based on our previous two experiences with John, he was the obvious choice to be our REALTOR once again. This was no easy sale! The home was an old 1910 house and had many “1910 house issues.” After following much of John’s recommendations for getting the home sale-ready, we listed it and had multiple offers over asking price the same day. Due to inspections and buyer concerns with older wiring and sewer we had two offers fall through a couple weeks into the process. John hung in there with us through our frustration and re-listed the home twice. In the end we sold the home after less than 2 months including all the time wasted with offers that fell through. We got nearly the full asking price and sold the home just in time for our move to our new place.
